Spring into our final issue of the 2024-2025 school year!
Emilio Eustaquio is a senior at AHS. He is editor-in-chief, reporter, graphic designer, and website designer for the Amsterdam Rambler. He is very active in and out of school. In addition to being a studious honors student, he is also very involved in after-school activities, participating in Marching Rams, Drama Club, Adventure Club, and more! He is always committed to helping out others- no matter the task.
Seamus Clary is a junior at Amsterdam High School and columnist for The Rambler. He enjoys volunteering for The National Honor Society and also enjoys spending time outdoors.
Emma Miller is a senior and athlete at AHS. She loves traveling, reading, and shopping! In her free time, she hangs out with her friends and family and enjoys going on long walks with her dad and dog, Kobe. Her favorite season is fall because of the leaves chaning colors and cool breeze. Her plan for the future is to attend college and major in political science. She wants to become a teacher or lawyer- she really doesn’t know yet! Her biggest tip is to surround yourself with good people and trust the process.
Victoria Forte is a junior at AHS. In addition to being a writer for the Rambler, she is the treasurer for the Class of 2026, a Head Costume Designer and actress for the AHS Drama Club, Vice President of the AHS Marching Rams, a Majorette, and a member of the Advanced concert band, playing the flute. She also sews and alters clothing in her free time.
Alexandra Forte is a junior at at AHS. She is a writer for the Amsterdam Rambler, an actress for the AHS Drama Club, and a proud member of the AHS Marching Rams. She takes part in honors classes and loves anything to do with music, nature, and art. She is always willing to discover new perspectives in order to have a greater understanding of herself and those around her.
Ty’aira White is a sophomore at AHS and class of 2027. She is part of the AHS marching band and plays an instrument called Bass Clarinet. She enjoys playing all of the music and going to the football games to perform. Ty'aira plans to be a journalist when she grows up so that is why she took this writing position.
Finnley Aultman is a sophomore at AHS in the class of 2027. Her role in the newspaper club is writer/reporter. She is part of the Marching Rams, where she plays the flute. She likes reading, listening to music, and writing on her own time. She's not sure where she wants to go to college and why. She has many nicknames but her most used are, Finn, Finny, and Fi.
Susana Gomez Aristizabal is a very involved member of the class of 2025. She is president of several school clubs: Multicultural Club, Adventure Club, and SHPE Club (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers). She is also an esteemed member of PR/HYLI (Puerto Rican/Hispanic Youth Leadership Institute, Newspaper Club, Operation Smile, and Student Council. In addition, Susana attends HFM BOCES to study Medical Assisting. During her free time, Susana volunteers with her church, reads, writes, and watches musicals.
Jay Mendez is a junior and valued member of the high school drama club. He is a part of Drum-line, the Drama Club, and a writer for the school newspaper. He reports on pop culture, school-related issues and utilizes personal interviews in his works. His goal is to inform his audience about important issues while keeping each read entertaining in their own right.
Ashley Bayke-Merino is a junior at AHS. She is a writer for the Amsterdam Rambler, and she plays tennis for the AHS Varsity Tennis team. She takes part in honors classes and loves music, art, reading, and connecting with people. Her goal is to explore new things and find something she is passionate about.
