Course Description

The Language Arts Lab supplements literacy instruction provided in the English Classroom and promotes student success in all areas of middle and high school coursework.

Objective: Students will strengthen nonfiction and informational literacy skills.

• vocabulary knowledge and usage

• structural analysis of multisyllabic words

• reading fluency and comprehension

• discussion, summarization, and presentation of nonfiction texts

• structural rules of written English language

• expository, persuasive, and descriptive nonfiction writing
