Graduation awards

Each year BCSS offers a number of graduation awards. The awards found here are those that are selected through a student application. Each of the award documents below contain a description of the award, the criteria, and the application.

All full time BCSS students in either the face-to-face or remote learning model are eligible for these awards.

If you would like to apply for a BCSS grad award, please complete and submit your application to Mr. Li (gordon.m.li@yrdsb.ca) on or before May 1st.

Note- Some of the award applications require support from a teacher. Please ensure that you approach your teachers early so that they are able to write a supporting letter and ensure that you have a copy to include with your application when you submit it.

Valedictorian 2024

Graduation is fast approaching and it is time to nominate a valedictorian for the graduating class. To nominate up to three (3) people (including yourself) please go to: bit.ly/bcssvalvote Nominations close on May 16th 2024. When nominating, be sure to carefully consider who you think best represents the graduating class and will provide a meaningful speech to your peers at the graduation ceremony. Once nominations are collected, a shortlist of candidates will be contacted and we will hold a valedictorian election.
