Jaume Monfort Hernandez

Head of Tennis

As UWCSEA Head of Tennis, Jaume will be involved in all coaching programmes. He will be the Head Coach for all School Teams.

Jaume Monfort Hernandez is originally from Spain but has been coaching around the world for the last 20 years gaining a vast amount of experience in Spain, Germany, Dubai, China and most recently in Hong Kong.

He has experience coaching all ages and abilities specialising in Performance Players. Most notably, he was Head Coach for the National Squad for the Hong Kong Tennis Association and a travelling coach for ITF players.

Jaume plays to a very high level himself and has been a hitting partner to a number of top 10 women's tennis players in the world including Serena Williams and Caroline Woznicky.

Jaume is a qualified USPTR, RPT , GPTCA and RFET coach.

Chris Moody

Head of Active for life

As UWCSEA Head of Active for life, Chris will be involved in all coaching programmes. He will be the Head Coach for all development programmes.

Chris Moody is originally from Australia with 20+ years of Coaching Experience. Managing coaching teams and programs in a range of environments throughout Australia & Hong Kong. Chris is a Tennis Australia Club Professional. Chris worked at Tennis Australia delivering Coach Education; presenting at conferences, delivering workshops and courses for Tennis Australia nationally. Chris has coached multiple Top 10 Nationally Ranked Players in Australia & Hong Kong and has had exposure to and experienced ATP & WTA world class training facilities (Tennis Australia National Academies). With a background in Strength & Conditioning and Myotherapy, Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role as the Head of Active for Life.

As UWCSEA Phoenix coach (responsible of orange & green stage), Martina will be involved in all coaching programmes and administration.

Martina Guba is a tennis coach with 20 years of playing experience. She has represented the Philippines in numerous international tournaments, and was ranked the #1 junior player in the country. Martina began playing in national and international tournaments at age 8. She was ranked #3 in the Asian Tennis Federation, which led to an invitation to the Australian Open U14. Martina has also represented the Philippines at Junior Fed Cup and World Juniors Tennis. She captained her university team, and decided to pursue a career in tennis coaching after her studies.

Martina has 9 years of coaching experience. She began her career with Savitar (now UFit), working at Marlborough College Malaysia in Johor. She also coached for Melbourne International Tennis School - Singapore, before moving to UWCSEA full time in September 2022. Martina specialises in running group and private tennis lessons and camps and tournaments for all ages and abilities, coaching players from red ball beginners to competitive level. She has led teams to tournaments with various schools and clubs around the region.

Martina is very much looking forward to coaching the students at UWCSEA and making a real impact with all of the players in the programme.

As UWCSEA Phoenix coach Niki will be involved in all coaching programmes and administration.

Niki is a former top-ranked Hungarian junior and internationally accomplished collegiate athlete with extensive global coaching experience.

Ranked as a Top junior player. She was a member of the Hungarian National Junior Team, competing at the highest level of European junior tennis tour.

She continued her tennis journey in the United States on a full athletic scholarship at Northwood University, Michigan. During her collegiate career, she became a 3-time GLIAC Champion, recorded three unbeaten doubles seasons, and advanced to the Round of 16 at the U.S. University National Championship in Arizona, competing among the nation’s top collegiate players.

Transitioning into coaching, Niki brings over 13 years of international coaching experience across Dubai, Singapore, Maldives, and London, UK.

With a strong competitive background and global coaching experience, Niki combines high-performance training principles with a player-focused approach, helping students maximize both technical skills and mental resilience on court.
