Canadian Universities are very generous when in comes to scholarships for IB and international students. Each year we receive information about these scholarship opportunities and sometimes the amounts vary from year to year, so please check the universities website for exact details. Again, this is not intended to be an all-inclusive list but instead a place to start your research. See your advisor for any specific questions.
Brock University International Student Ambassador Program
May be awarded to up to 10 international students each year.
For consideration for this award, an international student is defined as:
An individual who pays international student tuition fees to Brock University for the entirety of the academic year awarded.
Those who hold Permanent Resident or Refugee status within Canada are not eligible to apply.
Those holding dual citizenship between Canada and another country are not eligible.
Eligibility requirements:
Student must be registered in either full-time Undergraduate or Graduate Studies.
Students registered in ESL, Bridging, Certificate, or ISP programs are not eligible.
Students who intend to enroll in a co-op work term in the fall/winter academic terms are not eligible.
Nomination criteria:
Any international student nominated for the program must be in good academic standing.
Must pay international tuition fees to qualify as an international student at Brock University.
Canadian Association of Singapore Scholarship
One scholarship of S$1,000 per year to a student attending any international school in Singapore to study at a Canadian College or University. Applicants must be Canadian citizens and their families must also be members in good standing of the Canadian Association of Singapore for at least six months prior to the application deadline. Canadian Merit Scholarship Foundation (CMSF) scholarship for Canadian citizens or PRs
Loran Awards - $75,000 value over 4 years; annual tuition waiver plus $8,000 stipend, funds for summer research and internships, invitations to forums and gatherings, and mentorship opportunities. Selection criteria are based on academic excellence, character, leadership, and service. For Canadian Citizens and PR only.
Carelton University
Carleton University has one of the most generous scholarship and bursary programs in Canada. Last year, more than 15,000 scholarships and bursaries totalling over $31.9 million were awarded to undergraduate students.

Queen's University
Offers major entrance scholarships/awards to Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada, ranging in value from CDN$6,500-12,000/year for all four years.. Details and applications available on their website.
Queen’s also has international entrance scholarships, valued at CDN$9,000 for one year only, for non-Canadian applicants. No separate application is required. There are also entrance scholarships for designated nationalities (India, Pakistan, USA). For all international entrance scholarships, see their website.
University of Alberta Entrance Awards
Alberta offers several partial to full scholarships, ranging in value from CDN$1,000-50,000 (for academic excellence, scholastic distinction, leadership, faculty nominated, track and field, and IB Diploma). See this page for details; applications available online. Note that you must apply to an undergraduate programme before you can apply for any entrance awards.
St Thomas's University
St Thomas offers bursaries to students in financial need. Bursaries are valued between $500 - $3,000 and are funded by donations from faculty, staff and friends of St Thomas University. Bursaries are open to candidates for full-time admission to the first year of the Bachelor of Arts program who are applying on the basis of their high school records or as an adult learner.

University of British Columbia
Four prestigious need-and-merit-based awards are available through UBC’s International Scholars Program. UBC offers approximately 50 scholarships each year across all four awards. You won’t select which award you wish to receive when you submit your application – UBC's team will automatically consider you for the awards that you are eligible for.

University of Saskatchewan
Offers international entrance scholarships, ranging in value from CDN $10,000–20,000. Please search for more information.
You will automatically be considered for a Guaranteed Entrance Scholarship when you apply for admission. These scholarships recognize your academic achievements and are awarded based on your admission average.
University of Toronto
The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships at the University of Toronto provide an unparalleled opportunity for outstanding international students to study at one of the world’s best universities in one of the world’s most multicultural cities. The scholarship program is intended to recognize students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and creativity and who are recognized as leaders within their school. A special emphasis is placed on the impact the student has had on the life of their school and community, and their future potential to contribute positively to the global community.
Awarded annually, these scholarships recognize outstanding students from around the world, including international students studying at Canadian high schools. This is U of T’s most prestigious and competitive scholarship for international students. The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships will cover tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support for four years. The scholarship is tenable only at the University of Toronto for first-entry, undergraduate programs. Each year approximately 37 students will be named Lester B. Pearson Scholars.

University of Victoria
**Offers entrance scholarships to international students; this includes several very generous full Scholarships over four years (minimum IB 32 points, school involvement, service, leadership).
