Each Athlete Shall:
Place academic achievement as the highest priority.
Show respect for teammates, opponents, officials, and coaches.
Respect the integrity and judgment of officials.
Exhibit fair play, sportsmanship, and proper conduct at all times.
Maintain a high level of safety awareness.
Refrain from the use of profanity, vulgarity, or other offensive behaviours.
Adhere to the established rules and standards of the game to be played.
Respect all equipment and use it safely and appropriately.
Refrain from the use of alcohol, tobacco, illegal and non-prescriptive drugs, anabolic steroids, or any substance to increase physical development or performance.
Follow all state, section, and school athletic rules and regulations as they pertain to eligibility and sports participation.
Win with character, lose with dignity.
Each Coach Shall:
Abide by the content and intent of the SEASAC Constitution, Handbook, Playing Regulations and Appendices and should accept and support the rules governing the sport and those responsible for administering the rules.
Prepare participants with regard to the behaviour expected of them at a SEASAC event.
Cooperate with fellow coaches, tournament directors, officials and student minor officials in the performance of their duties.
Exemplify ethical behaviours, including honesty, integrity, fair play and sportsmanship.
Be generous in winning and graceful in losing.
Refrain from humiliating other teams either verbally or through results on the playing surface - winning is desirable but to win at any cost defeats the purpose of the game and is in conflict with the spirit of fellowship at SEASAC events.
Accept responsibility for the conduct of his/her athletes and discourage inappropriate behaviour in competition and while at or away from the sporting venue.
Understand that obscenities, trash talk or other forms of verbal abuse from a coach or player directed at coaches, officials, players or spectators are not acceptable behaviours in SEASAC competition.
Keep his/her coaching function in a proper personal and professional perspective.
