Buck is a former member of the Aerobic National Team representing the Philippines, his journey in sports has been both inspiring and transformative. His passion for gymnastics began early in his life and grew stronger as he dedicated years to developing his skills as an athlete and a coach. In January 2019, Buck made a significant move to Singapore after spending five years as a lead coach at British School Manila. This transition came after nearly a decade of hard work in gymnastics. His experience spans across various levels, including women's recreational, grassroots programs, and elite competitive levels, where he developed a keen understanding of the sport and its coaching complexities.
Buck recognised that the growth of gymnastics not only depended on the skills athletes possessed but also on the encouragement and guidance from their coaches. Buck's commitment to coaching is marked by his passion for creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all students in gymnastics. Ben is the Head of Performance which is in charge of coach management and athlete progression. He has been coaching in Singapore since 2014 across all aspects of the sport: from women’s competitive squads, recreational classes, and parkour classes, ages 3 to 22. During this time he has worked both in private clubs as well as International School gymnastics programmes and have a good handle on the intricacies of each environment.
Ben worked at The Yard Acrobatic Center - Singapore from October of 2016 with the roles of CIS School Lead and Squad Competitive coach until his departure in May 2018. As CIS School lead he was in charge of all day to day running of their gymnastics programme at CIS (64 students across 8 classes per week). Ben worked with competitive gymnasts as lead coach across levels 2, 3, 4 and preparation for 5 in the Australian National Development Programme. Prior to working at the Yard, he was also a squad coach at Prime Gymnastics where he trained gymnasts from the same Level from 2014 to 2016.

Gabriel is a prominent figure in the world of gymnastics, with a remarkable background that encompasses both competition and coaching. As a former captain of the Singapore National Team, he has represented his country in various prestigious international competitions, including the World Championships, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, and Universiade Games. He was also a multiple medallist in the 2011 and 2015 Southeast Asian Games. His participation in these events not only showcased his talent but also contributed to raising the profile of gymnastics in Singapore.
After retiring from competitive gymnastics, Gabriel transitioned into coaching, where he has nearly 20 years of experience. His role as the Head Coach of Men's Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) at the UWCSEA East Campus has allowed him to shape the next generation of gymnasts. Gabriel’s extensive knowledge of the sport, combined with his passion for coaching, makes him an invaluable asset to his students. He is dedicated to not just training athletes, but also enriching and inspiring their lives through gymnastics.

Rico’s passion for gymnastics began when he was just eleven years old. This initial interest quickly developed into a serious commitment as Rico trained hard to improve his skills. His dedication paid off when he earned a place on the Philippine National Team. He had the honour of representing his country in various competitions around the world, including the ASEAN and SEA Games.
After years of competing, he dedicated himself to coaching both Men's Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) and Women's Artistic Gymnastics (WAG). This phase of his career was just as fulfilling as his time as a competitor. Coaching allowed Rico to share his knowledge and passion with the next generation of gymnasts. Rico’s coaching career took him to various countries, including the Philippines, China, Singapore, and Australia. He is a certified MAG FIG Level 1 Coach, an Accredited MAG Advanced Coach, and a MAG Intermediate Bronze Judge. His credentials also illustrate his commitment to the sport and his athletes, enabling him to teach safely while ensuring that gymnasts can reach their full potential.

Maksim is an exceptional artistic gymnastics coach who has significantly contributed to both recreational and competitive levels of the sport. His diverse coaching experience, combined with his background in high-tier circus performance, sets him apart as a skilled mentor in the world of gymnastics. Hailing from Golem, Belarus, Maksim was once a talented member of the Junior National Team, showcasing his deep-rooted connection to the gymnastics field.
In 2014, he began his career as a recreational and competitive coach at Asia Gymnastics Academy, located in Turf City. His commitment to nurturing young athletes has been evident since he joined our GymSchool and GymTeam programme in 2015. Over the years, he has worked diligently to cultivate the talents of numerous gymnasts, guiding them to improve their skills, confidence, and overall performance. He plays a crucial role in the Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) programme, working closely with aspiring gymnasts to recognise their potential and help identify young athletes who can thrive in competitive settings by assessing strength, agility and dedication.

Faé is responsible for overseeing both the recreational and competitive gymnastics programmes in UWCSEA. Her leadership not only shapes the structure of training but also focuses on creating a supportive environment for students of various skill levels to thrive. Since she began her journey at UWCSEA in 2013, Faé has displayed a strong commitment to developing gymnastics programmes that cater to the needs of all students. She ensures that her team is well-equipped with the latest techniques and methodologies in gymnastics coaching by organising coaching workshops and certification programmes. This continuous education allows the coaches to provide the highest level of training and support to UWCSEA students.
Faé started gymnastics when she was just six years old. In 1996, she represented the Philippines at the Pacific School Games in Australia and South East Asia Gymnastics Conference in Manila. Her interest in coaching began in 1998. After coaching a competitive team in the Philippines from 2003 to 2008 and recreational programme in China from 2009 to 2010, she came to Singapore in late 2011 to coach at Raffles Gymnastics Academy lasting 1.5 years.

After a fulfilling career in the US mortgage industry, Anna has decided to return to Singapore to pursue her true passion – coaching gymnastics. This decision reflects her dedication to a sport close to her heart, one that has shaped her life in many ways. As a former elite gymnast, Anna has a rich background in this discipline, having proudly represented the Philippines in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics and earning a team bronze medal at the 2001 South East Asian Games.
For over eight years, Anna has made coaching gymnastics her mission, spending five of those years in Singapore from 2013 to 2018. During this time, she developed a comprehensive understanding of the sport and honed her skills in teaching young gymnasts. Anna’s coaching goes beyond just teaching routines; she emphasizes the importance of discipline, hard work, and resilience. These qualities are essential not only in gymnastics but in all aspects of life. She aims to prepare them not only for competitions but also for future challenges. She's always looking forward to coaching as it gives her the opportunity to inspire and train future gymnasts and share the love she has for the sport.

A former Great Britain Gymnast, Nik developed the Gymnastics Programme at UWCSEA Dover campus from 2000 to 2017. He was the Head of Gymnastics and responsible for the Gym School and Gym Team Programmes. A former gymnast, Dan is currently retired and was a Mathematics at the college. He was a skilled Men's Artistic gymnast and represented Canada in the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California. Nik, along with Dan Gaudet designed, project managed and built certain areas of the current Gymnastics centre at the Dover campus.
