Welcome to the world of Innovation@EAST, where creativity, collaboration and cutting-edge ideas converge to shape the future. Nestled within our vibrant UWCSEA East campus, the Innovation@EAST programme has catalysed transformative experiences and remarkable achievements among the students.

This year, a diverse community of young innovators have gathered under the programme's umbrella, driven by a shared passion for exploring new frontiers and making a tangible impact on the world. Through various activities, projects, and initiatives, these students have embraced the power of innovation to reimagine, reinvent, and revolutionise.

The Innovation@EAST programme acts as a powerful springboard for their dreams and aspirations and links them to the leaders in business and industry. Guided by visionary mentors and supported by state-of-the-art resources, these budding inventors, entrepreneurs, and change-makers have had the opportunity to dive headfirst into exciting ventures, turning their ideas into reality.

What follows is a small collection of their voices:

I recently participated in the HarvestHacks by YCW Hackathon, a global event open to participants under the age of 21 with over 270 participants. My project has been awarded as a Winner of the Outer 10 Category, which means that I placed top 10. The hackathon's core theme centred on education and sought innovative solutions to address challenges or enhance learning experiences. Inspired by the popularity and global significance of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), I decided to focus on SDG 11, Sustainable Cities and Communities. As a result, my project centred on developing an Automatic Watering System. The hackathon was an exhilarating experience that pushed me to swiftly construct a successful project within a tight timeframe. One of my key accomplishments was mastering the programming language for the Arduino Nano, the project's primary microcontroller, as it required integrating unfamiliar hardware components. Completing this project earned me the esteemed recognition of the Winner Certificate in the Outer 10 Category. To view my submitted project, please follow this link.
