We now have Premium access to Typing.com. This program is available to all Grade 4-10 classes, and will help to address the new keyboarding expectations in the Language Curriculum. (Grade 3 students that are part of a 3/4 split also have access.)
I have attached instructions which outline what you need to do to get your account and class(es) set up. Please follow the instructions carefully, as setting up your account incorrectly may result in you and/or your students failing to get access to the paid ("Premium") version of Typing.com. You can also see the instructions here: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1pA7u9eHaGKafNxSd2KUXNRwbBg2vFveEldMAntQpnkQ/edit?usp=sharing
I have also attached the Teacher Guide, which outlines how to use the program with your students once your accounts are set up (you can skip to Page 10, since you'll have already set up your class using the attached instructions specific to the RRDSB).
If you would like any assistance with setting up the program (or would like me to introduce it to your class), please let me know.
Also, if you do not receive an invitation from Typing.com in your Gapps email, please let me know. (The email will go to your Gapps email address so that you will be able to use Google's Single Sign-On for Typing.com. 🙂)
