Using Quizizz with Your Students: A Helpful Guide for Safe and Fun Learning

Quizizz is a fantastic, game-based learning tool that brings engagement and energy into your classroom!  To help you and your students use it safely and responsibly, here are a few best practices and important tips to keep in mind:

✅ Google Classroom Friendly!
Steps to Link Quizizz and Google Classroom:

• Navigate to Classes: On the Quizizz dashboard, click on "Classes" located on the left navigation pane.

• Initiate Google Classroom Integration: Click on "Google Classroom"

• Choose Your Google Account: Select the Google account associated with your Quizizz account.

• Grant Access: Authorize Quizizz to access your Google account. This is a one-time, secure process.

• Import Classes: Click on the "Google Classroom" button again, select the classes you want to import, and click "Next".

• Verify and Manage: Your classes will now be imported into Quizizz. You can click on a class to view its details, and to update the class, click on "Refresh roster". 

🗑️ Deleting Accounts and Data
Accounts can be deleted anytime through the Settings page. If you or your students create accounts and no longer need them, consider sending a follow-up request to Quizizz asking for full data deletion. This adds an extra layer of protection for your class once the tool is no longer in use.

📅 Data Retention
Unless requested, student and class data will be deleted based on Quizizz’s own retention policy. For added peace of mind, we recommend that teachers delete class data at the end of the year.

By taking these simple steps, you can confidently bring the joy of interactive learning to your classroom while protecting your students’ privacy.
