Bualnaluib Primary School enjoys an idyllic rural location about a mile outside the village of Aultbea, with panoramic views across Loch Ewe, Isle Ewe and the Torridon hills beyond. There is an enclosed gravel pathway connecting the school to the village, which many of our pupils either cycle or walk along safely to get to and from school.

Our building dates back to the Victorian era, but is fully modernised and well-equipped. We have two large, bright classrooms, a multi-purpose hall, cloakrooms, and a library area in the former schoolhouse. Outside, we have a wildlife garden, large tarmac playground and grassy area enhanced by our traverse wall, swing crossing, playhouse, goalposts and basketball net. There is a large parking area outside the school gates for cars and minibuses.

Bualnaluib Primary School aims to promote life long learning by helping our children develop an understanding and appreciation of themselves, their community and their environment. We actively encourage partnerships with parents, local businesses, local and national charities and organisations, as this adds value to our learning, giving it a real life context.

Aultbea Nursery, whilst not on site with Bualnaluib Primary is our council-run pre-school facility and shares Louise Taylor as Head Teacher.

We have a large, bright play room with plenty of scope for a wide variety of activities and an enclosed grassy outdoor play area and garden.

It enjoys a more central site, nearer to the heart of the village - with walking access to the shore, the adjacent playing park, playing field and the local shop. We make very good use of all of these facilities in our busy day!

The nursery is closed during the session 25-26,
but plans to reopen for 26-27.
