GAAPA is an all-volunteer association, which is run by parents just like you and me. Our role, in partnership with the school, is to promote the culture of kindness, enhance the educational experience and well-being of our children, and encourage a sense of community through a variety of events and activities throughout the year.
I invite each and every one of you to join our GAA community. Without people to run and take charge of events they do not happen. Your participation will have a positive influence on every student at GAA, and will provide you an opportunity to connect with friends, parents and teachers outside of a classroom setting. The larger our community, the greater our impact.
I know your time is valuable, but if you are interested in helping, there are countless ways to get involved and we will find a role that fits your availability and your interests.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Together, we can make this a phenomenal year!

MISSION STATEMENT
An excellent and successful school depends on the healthy partnership between teachers, parents, students and the community. As the identified parent association, GAAPA’s mission is to work in collaboration with the school to encourage a sense of community through events and activities that enrich our children’s educational experience at GEMS American Academy. GAAPA will support, assist and cooperate in events aligned with the school program. GAAPA believes in fostering the tradition of kindness and caring that exists within the school. Within our vast community of learners, we would like to promote the notion of unity in diversity that promotes an acceptance of different cultures and people.
If you wish to join, please feel free to contact our PRE Fatma Chabanova at pre_gaa@gemsedu.com for more information.
Our wonderful parent ambassadors have set up WhatsApp groups for families new to GAA to help connect. Please join the group specific to your family:
If you are a returning family, you may already be part of Grade Level WhatsApp groups, created last school year 2020-2021. If you are not, please feel free to email pre_gaa@gemsedu.com
We present to you GAAPA Community Resource Guide, compiled with the help of our members, fellow GAA families.
We understand the struggles each family faces when moving to a new country, new school, new residence, as we have all been through the same. It is only natural that we want to support each other as a Community.
This website is designed to provide that helpful information for all our community members. Your feedback and contribution will be highly appreciated to make sure that information is accurate and up-to-date. You can recommend your resource by clicking below link:
