Dear GAA Parents,

What a fantastic school year we experienced!

We are happy to see you all again during school activities and promotions at the end of this school year. We genuinely missed you on our campus. Your visibility greatly impacted our students' learning journey by encouraging and supporting them.

Unfortunately, we still face the COVID-19 pandemic that impacted students' learning experience. This year, we went through a challenging time, but we overcame the challenges with you working hand in hand to offer our kids the best learning environment. Most importantly, our students have enjoyed another fabulous year at GAA.

GAA is always aiming to create a supportive and inclusive environment where students are encouraged and supported to explore their potential and achieve their personal best in all aspects of school life regardless of the circumstances that we are facing. Our students are being challenged and engaged this year through authentic learning opportunities that inspire them to develop creativity, confidence, and resilience to become independent and ethical lifelong learners.

At GAA this year, we focused on equipping our students with self-awareness and critical thinking skills they can carry into the real world upon graduation.

Our Arabic, Islamic, and UAE Social Studies teams worked together to provide an excellent learning culture for our students.

On behalf of the Arabic staff at GAA, we would like to congratulate you on the fantastic year we spent with our students and parents. We worked towards improving the Arabic language for our students by working on the skills and building bridges between the curriculum in the classroom and their social life, which motivated them to learn and use it in their daily lives. Similarly, we helped our students make an everyday connection between Islamic studies and UAE social studies through many different situations.

We are very proud and thankful to our students and parents for the tremendous effort to help us provide the most successful learning environment. In addition to the above, we enjoy spreading the culture of kindness and a caring community when we worked for hand in hand with our students and their families to help our kids achieve their goals.

I wish you all the very best for the summer vacation to welcome you back refreshed for what will be an exciting, new academic year at GAA for more successes and creativity!

أولياء الأمور الكرام..

تحية طيبة وبعدُ..

يا لها من سنة دراسية مميزة مليئة بالإنجازات والأحداث المهمة والمؤثرة في شخصيات طلابنا، أسعدنا خلالها أن نستقبل مجددًا أولياء الأمور وطلابنا في الحرم المدرسي خاصة في الأنشطة المدرسية التي أقيمت في نهاية هذا العام، حيث كان لهذه العودة الفعلية الأثر على دعم رحلتهم التعلمية من خلال تشجيعهم ودعمهم والأخذ بيدهم على جميع الأصعدة.

للأسف مازلنا نواجه جائحة كوفيد ١٩ التي فرضت علينا الكثير من التحديات في كافة مجالات الحياة، ولكن على الرغم من ذلك تمكنا من التكيف وإيجاد الحلول المباشرة لها، ونأمل أن تعود الممارسات المدرسية إلى سابق عهدها قبل الجائحة.

نسعى في مدرسة جيمس الأمريكية دائما إلى خلق بيئة داعمة وشاملة من أجل دعم الطلاب وحثهم على اكتشاف إمكاناتهم وتحقيق أفضل ما لديهم ، بالإضافة إلي خلق فرص تعلم حقيقية تلهمهم وتحفز الإبداع لديهم وتمنحهم الثقة بأنفسهم والمرونة ليصبحوا متعلمين مستقلين قادرين على مواجهة كافة ظروف الحياة.

كما عملنا خلال هذا العام على تزويد طلابنا بالوعي الذاتي ومهارات التفكير الناقد والمرونة التي يحتاجونها في حياتهم اليومية.

عمل فريق قسم المواد الوزارية يدًا بيد من أجل تأمين أفضل بيئة تعليمية ممتازة لطلابنا في هذه الظروف الصعبة الّتي أثرت بشكل مباشر على مهارات طلابنا. فقد كانت الإنجازات واضحة للعيان واستطعنا النهوض مجددًا بهذه المهارات اللغوية.

أود نيابة عن قسم اللغة العربية أن أهنئكم على العام الرائع الذي قضيناه مع طلابنا وأولياء الأمور حيث عملنا فيه على تحسين مهارات اللغة العربية لطلابنا من خلال التركيز على المهارات الأساسية وبناء الجسور بين المناهج الدراسية وحياتهم الاجتماعية، مما حفزهم على تعلم اللغة واستخدامها في حياتهم اليومية، كما ساعدنا طلابنا على إيجاد صلة تربط بين الدراسات الإسلامية والدراسات الاجتماعية من خلال العديد من المواقف الحياتية.

نتقدم لكم بجزيل الشكر والعرفان على الجهد الهائل الذي تم تقديمه من قبلكم لمساعدتنا في توفير بيئة تعليمية أكثر نجاحًا.

نرجو من اللّه للجميع عطلة صيفية ممتعة على أمل اللقاء بكم في عام أكاديمي جديد ممتع نحصد فيه المزيد من الإبداع والنجاح

Congratulations to these students for qualifying to the Grand Finale of Mental Math World Cup 2022, which will take place on 16th & 17th of July:

Grade 10 Students listed below have been selected as a participant in the NYUAD Summer Program 2023, and recipient of the Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Scholarship for Outstanding High School Students:

It is with great pleasure that our students have been selected as a participant in the NYUAD Summer Academy and recipient of the Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Scholarship for Outstanding High School Students. Given the very intense competition for the Summer Program, Students got selected for their excellent record of accomplishment. We hope our students find the experience of being in the Summer Academy exceptionally fulfilling and interesting.

Our Admin offices (Reception, Accounts, Admissions, Transportation) will remain open during Summer Break as follows:

• Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 14:00

• Fridays: 08:00 - 13:00

• July 4 - August 28: SUMMER BREAK

• August 25: New Secondary Students (Grades 6-12) Orientation

• August 29: First Day of School Year 2022-2023
