Mabuhay (a Filipino greeting) everyone! This is my 4th year here at GAA which also means that it is the 4th year of the library newsletter too! This publication will not be possible without your support, so a BIG THANK YOU to all of you!

Numerous library activities are lined-up for this year. We are so excited and looking forward to conducting these events with you to enjoy and celebrate reading! 3 Book Fairs will be held, the first one will be in November, please watch out for that! Book drive, School-wide READ Marathon, DEAR, Scavenger Hunts, new resources, library clubs and many more! All these events will be announced through the newsletter so stay tuned!

The newsletter team of this year are these three lovely and hardworking CAS students -- Janika, Annika and Alessia. They are taking part in bringing the exciting library news to you! Please read below short information about them.

Feel free to reach out to any of us if you are interested to be featured in the newsletter, if you have book recommendations and book reviews or for any suggestions.

Alessia Frate

Hi :) My name is Alessia Del Frate, I'm a junior and this is my first year at GAA, I moved here from Mozambique just a few months ago. I decided to join the Library Newsletter team as a way to be more engaged in this community and of course, my passion for literature! I am so excited for this year and I can't wait to see how things work out.

Annika Adesokan

Hello everybody! My name is Annika Adesokan and I'm currently a senior. This is my 6th year here at GAA, and my second year being a part of the library newsletter team I personally joined the library newsletter because I have a strong love for reading and I want everyone to have access to all the wonderful sources we have in the library to find what they like so they can read more <3! As an IBDP2 English Language and Literature student, I really want to encourage everyone to read and spread awareness about how you can get into reading. I am ecstatic to begin this new year and I can't wait to see what it has in store.

Hello! My name is Janika Ramirez, and I'm a junior. This is my 4th year at GAA.

I decided to help out with the Library Newsletter this year, as it is a way for me to contribute to the GAA community and a way to keep my mind off school work. I'll be looking forward to the events I'm going to be documenting!
