The BEST scholarship program is now open for students who study at Juniata College, University of Montana, Southwest Minnesota State University, Florida International University, Hamilton College, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt, University of Urbino and Queen's University Belfast.
The spring term period will start from Mar. 2nd, 2026 to May. 22nd, 2026.

We offer scholarship study periods ranging from 1 to 12 months.
Classes are held Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with intensive training to strengthen your Mandarin skills.
If you would like to receive the completion certificate for the term (three months), please note that your absences must not exceed one quarter (1/4) of the total class hours.
In June 2025, five students from Juniata College, University of Montana and Southwest Minnesota State University in the United States joined the Huayu B.E.S.T. Scholarship Program at Shih Chien University in Taiwan, participating in the Summer Quarterly Program. Last Friday, the successful completion of their Chinese language studies!
In addition to the Mandarin course, you will have the opportunity to intern as an English teacher assistant in junior high and elementary schools in Taipei. Using both English and the Chinese you learn in your Mandarin classes to communicate with students is an excellent way to practice and enhance your language skills.
In September 2024, a student from the University of Montana, joined the Huayu B.E.S.T. Scholarship Program at Shih Chien University in Taiwan for 9 months, participating in the Quarterly Program. On May 23rd 2025, he successfully completed his Chinese language studies!
We also made a video with him to give potential scholarship students a glimpse of what life in Taiwan is like as a scholarship recipient!
Students can schedule one-on-one language exchange sessions after class to review what they’ve learned or to share their own culture with Taiwanese students.

Language partners from Shih Chien University participated in an online language exchange with students from Florida International University.
During the session, they discussed topics related to Business Chinese courses, including introductions to both countries, industrial overviews, and cross-border cooperation in design industries.
