Students visited a local brewery in Yilan to learn about the beer-making process and taste freshly brewed craft beer. For lunch, they enjoyed a hearty meal at a local Taiwanese-style steakhouse, and in the afternoon, they visited the Bubble Tea Cultural Center to make their own bubble milk tea — a fun and memorable hands-on experience.
Students visited Yingge Old Street to experience local ceramic craftsmanship and purchase ceramic souvenirs such as ocarinas. They also explored Daxi Old Street in Taoyuan, where they admired Baroque-style historic buildings, browsed local market stalls, and enjoyed traditional Hakka cuisine.
Students took a trip to Houtong Cat Village in New Taipei, where they visited local shops and met the friendly resident cats. Later, they enjoyed tea tasting in Jiufen Old Street, soaking in the nostalgic atmosphere and buying plenty of souvenirs to take home.
Students visited Miaoli to explore Hakka culture — picking tea leaves at a local tea farm, making refreshing tea jelly, visiting the Hakka Cultural Museum, and tasting a traditional Hakka-style lunchbox.
Students visited the National Center for Traditional Arts in Yilan, where they watched Taiwanese traditional performances and explored local crafts. Later, they became “farmers for a day,” harvesting green onions in the fields and making their own scallion pancakes — a fun and authentic taste of rural life in Taiwan.
