My teaching is an integral extension of my research, driven by the conviction that sociological understanding is a vital tool for navigating and shaping contemporary societies. I aim to move beyond the transmission of knowledge, fostering in students a critical sociological imagination that connects personal experiences to broader structures of power, culture, and social change. In the classroom, I create an interactive environment where theoretical frameworks meet empirical puzzles, particularly those surrounding sustainability, consumption, and collective action, encouraging students to become engaged analysts of the social world.
I have designed and taught a wide range of courses across all academic levels, from introductory undergraduate modules to specialised postgraduate seminars and doctoral training.

Invited Teaching in Specialised Programs & Visiting Lectureships:
I regularly serve as a lecturer in high-level professional Master’s programs and as a visiting professor at other universities. This includes:
Adjunct Professor of Sociology of Food Consumption (2024-2025), University of Palermo, Department of Culture and Society.
Master in Gestione di Imprese Sociali (GIS) at EURICSE (Trento).
Master in Local Food Policy, University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo & CIHEAM Bari.
Master in Gastronomie territoriali sostenibili, University of Salento.
These engagements allow me to translate sociological insights for diverse audiences of students, practitioners, and policymakers across social entrepreneurship, food systems, and territorial development.
My pedagogical approach is participatory and research-led. I integrate case studies from my own fieldwork (e.g., on food democracy in Trento or ethical consumption networks) and employ diverse methods—from guided debates and role-playing to collaborative data analysis—to make complex social processes tangible. Ultimately, my goal is to equip students not only with knowledge but with the analytical tools to become reflective citizens and proactive agents in their communities.
