The Electronic Financial Aid Notification (eFAN) is the official notice of your financial aid eligibility for each academic year. The eFAN is typically available in July of each year and is accessed through MyUCLA.
Please note that any awards offered by the Department or Division of Graduate Education (DGE) will not appear on your initial eFAN, only offers of U.S. federal loans and work-study awards. Awards processed through UCLA (Department and/or DGE awards) will appear on your eFAN after they are processed in their respective financial systems. This usually happens before the quarter starts or during the quarter.
If you are receiving an award and are borrowing federal loans but would like to adjust your loan maximums, you may "Self Report" the award(s). Due to the decentralized nature of funding at UCLA, the Financial Aid Office isn’t aware of all the awards a student is given unless the student self reports it on the eFAN or until after the funding is put through, which typically occurs in late Summer.
