STEP THREE:
REGISTER!

MySlice registration for Strasbourg classes does not operate the same as it does for main campus classes. Here are the key differences:

• You cannot use Class Search, My Planner or Schedule Builder for Strasbourg classes since they do not appear in the MySlice searchable database. In order to register, be sure you are on the Enroll tab and enter the 5-digit class numbers in the first column of the Schedule of Classes. You may only register for courses in Strasbourg during online registration. 

• DO NOT use the online Help during registration (the directions may not apply to Strasbourg class registration). Instead, refer to the below instructions on how to add, drop, and swap classes, the Enrollment Guide, and the Common Enrollment Error Messages video.

• Please note that you may be administratively dropped from any class for which you are deemed ineligible, 

  • based on the transcript information available to us

  • by choosing a course not taught in Strasbourg

Ensure the Accuracy of Your Schedule:

• • • Make sure all the sections start with “Z7     ” (this identifies them as Strasbourg classes).

    • If you’re an undergrad, make sure your Term Credits Total is at least 12 credits to confirm your status as a full-time student and meet French immigration requirements.

    • Be sure to verify the section number of any course that has more than one section to ensure that you’ve registered for the correct section (not a concern for Fall 2024).

ON YOUR REGISTRATION DAY

• Simply login in to MySlice > click the Enrollment tile > Enroll/Drop/Adjust Classes 

• Register for your preferred schedule by selecting your first-choice classes (check the box to the left of each class) 

• Then the FINISH ENROLLING button. It's that simple!

• If you have a time conflict or if the class is full, you will get an error message. Try again by selecting one or more alternative courses from your shopping cart (for a minimum of 12 credits).

• You may continue to make schedule adjustments until the end of the registration appointment, 2pm on Friday, May 24. If a course you'd really like to take is full at first, continue your attempts to enroll in it as another student may have dropped their initial enrollment in order to take a different class!

If you did NOT fill your SHOPPING CART in advance, 

You will register for each class by: 

1. logging into MySlice

2. click the "Enrollment" tile, then "Enroll/Drop/Adjust Classes"

3. be sure you are on the Enroll tab, then enter the 5-digit class numbers in the first column of the Schedule of Classes (you cannot register by searching for Strasbourg classes!)

As you register note... 

• All Strasbourg classes have enrollment limits based on classroom size. Some courses are popular and may fill quickly, just like on main campus. You will not be able to register for a class (or section) once the enrollment limit is reached, so be sure to have alternative course selections ready and waiting in your Shopping Cart before you register. 

• If you are closed out of a course that is fulfilling a specific academic requirement which cannot be met by another course AND which you must take this semester in order to graduate on time, you should document this need by having your home college submit the Academic Need Verification Form. We will make every effort to meet your confirmed academic need.

DROP, SWAP or ADD a course while your registration appointment is active.

NOTE: ALL appointments expire at 2pm Eastern time on Friday, May 24.

Even after you click "FINISH ENROLLING" you can go back and make changes. 

All registration actions start in MySlice on the Enrollment tile > Enroll/Drop/Adjust classes.

• To ADD a course:

  1. 1. Ensure you are on the Enroll and Add tabs

     2. Enter the 5-digit course number of the class (found on the Schedule of Classes; DO NOT SEARCH!)

     3. Confirm Your Selection

     4. Click "FINISH ENROLLING"

• To DROP a Course:

1. Ensure you are on the Enroll and Drop tabs

2. Select the course you wish to drop by clicking the box to the left of the class

3. Confirm Your Selection

4. Click "FINISH ENROLLING"

• To SWAP a Course:

1. Ensure you are on the Enroll and Swap tabs

2. Use dropdown to select class to swap out. 

3. Select the class you want to add from your Shopping Cart OR by entering the five-digit Class Number (found on the Schedule of Classes; DO NOT SEARCH!)

4. Confirm Your Selection

5. Click "FINISH ENROLLING"

Early registration closes on Friday, May 24 at 2pm Eastern time. 

• Be sure you have completed your registration (for a minimum of 12 credits) before your appointment expires!

• If you wish to ADD, DROP, or SWAP after this time, you will have to wait until the Schedule Adjustment period after you arrive in Strasbourg.
