These are updates to the Schedule of Classes after review of the Course Preference Forms.
COURSE UPDATES:
PSY 300.2 has been renamed: MindCraft: Exploring Psychology, Soft Skills & AI
ADDITIONAL SECTIONS:
Due to high demand, an additional section of HOA 203 Italian Arts from Antiquity to Michelangelo has been added. NOTE the time change below:
HOA 203.3 Italian Arts from Antiquity to Michelangelo will now be offered TTh 9:15-10:45.
HOA 203.4 Italian Arts from Antiquity to Michelangelo will be offered TTh 11:15-12:45.
Due to insufficient demand, changes have been made to the following Italian sections:
We will now only offer one section of ITA 102 (Italian II)
The section at MW 8:30-10:45 will be cancelled.
All students in ITA 102 (Italian II) will enroll for the section at TTh 11:00-1:15.

NEW! The ARI 280.5 Serigraphy course (offered TTh 9:15-12:00) has now been cancelled. Any interested students should consider ARI 280.4 Serigraphy offered MW 9:15-12:00.
Based on information from the submitted Course Preference Forms, some courses are likely to reach capacity and close during registration. Be sure to have some alternative classes identified (and even placed in your Shopping Cart in MySlice), in case a class you would like to take is closed when you register. If you need to re-work your schedule, we've identified other courses to consider.

ITA 101 sections meeting at 11:00 am NOTE: there are seats for all in these required language courses but you may need to register for an 8:30 section.
NOTE for Studio courses: many studio art courses are expected to be filled by Studio Arts Program students. Those not on the Studio Arts program that indicated a studio courses on their CPF will be contacted regarding open spots prior to registration. Other students interested in taking one of these courses may have an opportunity to add after arrival in Florence, pending availability.
Please read the following restrictions carefully. You should not plan to register for any courses where you do not meet restrictions or pre-requisites.
Some courses are reserved for students admitted to Florence Special Programs (Architecture, Studio Arts, University of Florence [courses in English] & Wake Forest Business) as noted on the Schedule of Classes.

Enrollment priority for the following courses goes to Food Studies, Nutrition Science, and related majors who may enroll in two. Non-majors are limited to one of these courses:
FST 300 - Vine to Table: Italian Wines in Context (either section)
FST 304 - Farm to Fork
NSD 452 - Mediterranean Food and Culture: Florence Experience (either section)
Students may only register for one of the following courses, since similar content is covered in each:
ANT 300.3 - Food, Culture and Identity
NSD 452 - Mediterranean Food and Culture: Florence Experience (either section)
HST 300.13 - Edible Histories: Mediterranean Food Cultures Through Time And Space
You are permitted to register for only one of these introductory art history courses:
HOA 203 - Italian Arts from Antiquity to Michelangelo (any section)
HOA 320 - Italian Renaissance Art (either section)
Economics courses:
Economics courses are reserved for majors and minors, who may take two ECN courses each. Seats in ECN courses may be available during online Schedule Adjustment if space remains after ECN majors/minors have been seated.
Reservations lifted for the Schedule Adjustment period starting August 21.
Psychology courses:
Only Psychology majors and minors may register for two PSY courses; all other students are limited to one.
Reservations lifted for the Schedule Adjustment period starting August 21.
Students who disregard these directives will be dropped from the additional restricted course (MySlice will not prevent you from registering for more than one of these courses).
Many courses get you out of the classroom and into museums and cultural centers where you will view or experience what you are studying. Some of these courses carry fees for study tours, site visits, activities, or supplies that are an integral part of the course. Please carefully review the course fee sheet and also share it with your parents/guardians if they are financially responsible for your fees. More information can also be found on our website.
If you register for any course with a mandatory study tour, you must participate in this field study. Do not plan personal travel until you get to Florence and know when you may be required to take part in any class-related study tours, all-program trips, make-up classes, exam periods, and other academic commitments.
