In my role as Course Developer for IDE 611, I led a team of three in redesigning and updating course content to enhance students' competencies in effectively integrating various information and communication technologies into educational contexts. The course is conducted entirely online and combines individual and collaborative work activities, focusing on contemporary educational topics.
Course Redesign: Updated modules on essential topics including online learning, makerspaces, robotics, immersive learning, gamified learning, and computational thinking to reflect current trends in educational technology.
Engagement Strategies: Redesigned course activities, such as the asynchronous online discussion board and final projects, leveraging principles of self-determination theory to foster student engagement and collaborative learning.
Research Integration: Conducted studies on student engagement trajectories and learning outcomes, which culminated in my doctoral dissertation, linking theoretical principles to practical applications in the course.
