As soon as we step into the temple, the first thing that grabs your attention is dignfied the God of Agriculture. He played a crucial role in the early days of Taiwan's agriculture. They also call him the Medicine King because he tasted all sorts of herbs and conducted research on different plants. He had this special ability to understand the characteristics of various flowers and plants. But, sadly, he met his end after consuming a seriously poisonous herb. Typically, when we pray to the God of Agriculture, it's to ask for a good harvest, good health, and other things like that. One important thing to note is that when offering prayers to him, you shouldn't include beef, as cows have been valuable partners in farming for us.
