The play, Advocate, by Zoe Starr, is a story about a young college student struggling with the aftermath of being sexually assaulted.
While the play uses heavy language and Bria recalls her assault, there will be no staged intimacy. The hope is to portray Quinn/ Bria’s connection to be on the basis of understanding. The likeliness of actors even touching each other is unlikely.
Due to the primary theme of the show being based around sexual assault, actors must be comfortable discussing this theme.
