A Kindergarten field trip is a fun memory! We sadly were not able to have our field trip this year to the Pacific Science Center. Two of the exhibits we may have seen there were the Butterfly House and the Tide Pool.
Watch one or both of the virtual field trip videos.
Write down two things you learned about butterflies or tide pools and share it with someone at home or with your teacher on Seesaw.

In the story we read on Monday, the students got awards! An award is when you want to show or tell someone that they did something that made you proud! Choose a friend to make an award for using the template.

Today we are reviewing our Snap Word Power! Grab a book, find some snap words you know, and read them to your family!
Last week you learned about the "bossy e". This week we will use the "bossy e" skill while learning to read a new word! This week's word is "make".
Would you rather use a pencil or a marker to write a story? Why? Write a sentence using the prompt "I like _____ because ______________." Don't forget to take a picture of your writing on Seesaw and post it to your journal!
We will be working on words that have a "bossy e" and words that don't by sorting the word lists. Once you are done sorting, practice reading the "bossy e" words. You can share with your teacher on Seesaw.
*If you want a challenge, choose one "bossy e" word to write in a sentence.

Learn all about the word family -at by watching the video. Then, draw your own circle map on a piece of paper. Write the word it in the middle of the circle map. Last, draw three (3) things that have the "IT" sound when you say the word. Share your work on Seesaw!
Watch the 'Bossy e' video with Mrs. Gumm. After the video add bossy e onto the end of the following words, circle the vowel, practice sounding out and blending the words with the bossy e telling the vowel to "say its name", and draw a little picture to match the word. Have fun!
Read the non-fiction book about Earthworms. Tell someone or write down 3 key details from the text.
Bonus: How big can some earthworms grow?
Do you like the slide or the monkey bars? Write your answer on a piece of paper and use the word because to tell why you like the slide or monkey bars. Use the sentence stem to help you.
