Perry Community Schools Comprehensive Counseling Program
Belief Statement
The Perry School District Counselors believe:
Each student has the potential to achieve.
All students will have access to a full-time state licensed professional school counselor who is guided by ethical standards.
Programming and evaluation will be driven by data as part of a continuous improvement process.
School counselors will advocate for all students in the areas of academic, career, behavior and mental health.
That our comprehensive counseling program is a cooperative effort of counselors, students, teachers, administrators, support staff, caregivers and community in an effort to meet the academic, career and personal social needs of each student we serve.
Vision Statement
The vision of Perry Community Schools Comprehensive Counseling Program is to produce well prepared students ready to meet the personal, educational and work-related challenges of adult life. All students will be exposed to a rigorous curriculum and diverse opportunities for self directed personal growth supported by the School Counseling Program.
As successful and productive members of society, our students will grow into adults who are confident, physically and mentally healthy and well adjusted problem solvers.
Mission Statement
The mission of the PCSD school counseling program is to develop knowledgeable, skilled, and productive citizens of character through a relevant and comprehensive curriculum focusing on the areas of academic, career and personal/social domains.
