Purpose: For students interested in attending a community college, the Accuplacer test ensures the students' placement in the correct classes.
Who should take it: Juniors and seniors that are considering attending a 2 Year college and have not taken the ACT.
When to test: The Accuplacer is available for students to take at DMACC Perry VanKirk during day or evening hours.
Cost: FREE
Purpose: The PSAT is a practice assessment for college admission exams (SAT & ACT). Taking the PSAT as a junior is the only way to qualify as a National Merit Scholar
Who should take it: Juniors and seniors that are considering attending a 2 Year college and have not taken the ACT.
When to test:The Accuplacer is available for students to take at DMACC Perry VanKirk during day or evening hours. Large group testing will be administered at PHS group annually. Usually in November or December.

Free and reduced lunch waivers available for juniors.
Purpose: The ASVAB can help students identify their work related interests and determine career fields or occupations that would be satisfying. It is also required for military entrance.
Who should take it: Students who are unsure about possible career interests and students who are considering joining the military.
When to test: The iJAG instructors schedule the ASVAB annually in the fall at the high school. Students can also individually schedule the ASVAB with a military recruiter.
