About Me

I am lucky to have a wonderful family.  My husband Mark works as a physician assistant in the emergency department in Winterset.  He works one 36-hour shift a week from Thursday morning until Friday night.   He races harness horses every weekend in the summer, so that keeps us really busy.  He also does jiu-jitsu classes. My oldest son, Tristan, is 16 and in 10th grade. He is a great student who keeps busy with many activities including cross country, soccer, track, band, drama, and Boy Scouts. He loves playing video games, growing his hair out, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers.  My daughter Alana is 13 and is in 8th grade.  She loves to read, sing, dance, and swing on the swing set.   Alana is very self-assured and always voices her opinion.   My youngest boy, Quentin, is 12 and in sixth grade.   Quentin participates in soccer and band. His favorite pastimes are playing video games and cooking.  He also says the funniest things. As for me, I enjoy line dancing, reading, singing, fishing, and camping in my free time.  Or, at least I used to when I had free time!  I love my crazy life of juggling these responsibilities.  These challenges remind me of the challenges and responsibilities teachers face in juggling their professional and personal lives.   I love to support teachers in any way I can.
