Kaltura Capture

Many lecturers want to record their presentation slides and their voices and merge them into one single video, which students may access whenever their schedule permits. With Kaltura Capture, you can enable students to learn asynchronously!

To do so, follow the instructions below to record your presentation slides/screen. If you also want to record yourself, all you need is a webcam which can be found in most laptops nowadays. You can then upload and manage your recordings alongside other video content in NIE Video Portal or NTULearn. Additionally, you may also annotate on the slides when presenting, so you may scaffold the learning process for your students.

Getting Started:

Step 1:

Login to NTULearn @ http://ntulearn.ntu.edu.sg, then click on NIE Tools.

Step 2:

Click My Media. From drop down menu Add New, select Kaltura Capture. You will be prompted to install Kaltura Capture software if you are using it for the first time.

Step 3:

After installation, select My Media again. From the drop -down menu, select Add New, and then choose Kaltura Capture.

Step 4:

Click the red record button to record your desktop. You can choose to record only desktop or both desktop and webcam at the same time.

Step 5:

After recording, you are now ready to publish your video to your course in NTULearn.
