A DBQ is acronym for Document Based Questions. The purpose of a DBQ is to identify answers and even inferred messages by using the provided document (a map, diary, chart, excerpt). The proper way to respond to a DBQ is by providing an answer, a fact from the document to support your answer, and any inferred or additional information from the document.
