• • We will be Learning about first the African American Civil Rights Movement, ending with Selma and the Bridge to the Ballot

  • Then we will move forward with the Chicano Movement, beginning with Yo Soy Joaquin and Viva La Causa

  • From here, we will review the various other groups, including women, LGBTQ, Asian-Americans and Native Americans.

  • Finally, we will be asking each student to work in groups to present a more detailed history of the group of their choosing, the current issues and a plan of action to support these groups. - Many of these topics can be found at Debate Topics
