Why STEAM?

The job market in the 21st Century has changed dramatically. More than ever, companies are looking for candidates with excellent problem-solving and technical skills. They'll need to know fundamentals of coding, how to lead and how to function on a team of creatives.

Skills that students develop in science, technology, engineering, art, and math are collectively known as STEAM. Our goal at Palm Middle School's STEAM Program is to help students develop the ability to understand and solve some of the complex challenges that are proving to be crucial in today's workforce. At Palm, we want to ensure that ALL students have access to quality learning environments which encompass STEAM principles, and will open the doors to endless possibilities for our students.
