Ms. LaValley has been the librarian at Seaside Elementary since 2013, instilling a love of reading in students and helping them navigate the digital world.   

She moved to the Myrtle Beach area when she was in the 7th grade.  She attended Myrtle Beach Middle and High Schools.  She earned a  Bachelor of Arts in English from Coastal Carolina University and a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina.

Ms. LaValley has one daughter, two dogs, and two cats.  She enjoys reading, cooking, and hanging out with her family.

Mrs. Smith has been the library assistant since 2018 and has been at Seaside since 2010 as a substitute and kindergarten assistant.  She is usually the first smiling face you see in the library when you come in!

Mrs. Smith enjoys spending time next to her pool, reading, and spending time with her family.
