This year, students will be creating a Social Studies Portfolio to demonstrate what they've learned throughout the year. We will be studying FOUR main areas of US history: Settling the Colonies, A New and Growing Nation, A Divided Nation, and Rebuilding the Nation.

There is relatively no homework for social studies. The only time I might assign homework would be a study guide right before a big test. The only other time homework is assigned is when students misuses their time in class and I gave them multiple opportunities to complete it in class.
