• Evans Early American Imprint Collection
  Nearly 5000 digitized texts from the 17th and 18th century published in America and covering a wide variety of topics.

• Hathi Trust
  E-text of books, many are full-text with no restrictions. Excellent source for books published after conflicts prior to 1950. Largest collection is pre-1923. Search by topic or keyword to locate books. Also includes government reports.

• Internet Archive
  The Internet Archive is building a digital library of Internet sites, books, audio, film, and other cultural artifacts in digital form.

• Library of Congress: Digital Collections
  Extensive digital collections on topics, people, and events in American history from the wide-range of Library of Congress primary resources.

• New York Public Library Digital Gallery
  This collection includes images of African American history, Native American portraiture, wood engravings by Alexander Anderson, early baseball photographs, dance in photographs and prints, fashion from late 19th to early 20th century, nature illustrated, stage and screen stars, illuminated manuscripts, wonders of ancient world, early cars, WWI images, theatre marquees, pre-Victorian to Art Deco patterns, American public figures and images of science.

• Slave Voyages Database
  Contains information on more than 35,000 slave voyages involving the forcible transport of more than 12 million Africans to the Americas between the sixteenth and nineteenth centuries. Offers researchers, students and the general public a chance to rediscover the reality of one of the largest forced movements of peoples in world history.

• Born in Slavery: Slave Narratives from the Federal Writers Project, 1936-1938
  Includes over 2,400 first person accounts collected in the 1930's by the WPA and Federal Writer's Project.
