Mrs. Haley Kibodeaux

Mrs. Kibodeaux has been teaching elementary music for 10 years! She has been at Negley for the majority of that time.

Education: 

• Bachelor of Music with an All Level Teaching Certificate from Texas State University

• Texas State University: Kodály Music Educator Certification, completion of all 3 graduate-level semesters

Primary instruments include: Voice, Euphonium, Trombone, Tuba, Violin, Guitar, Ukulele. I'm awful at piano but I can accompany a tiny bit! Unfortunately I do not offer private lessons but I have many friends who offer them!

Hobbies include: Reading, swimming, gardening, supporting my husband's band (Blue Water Highway), cooking cajun food and baking, and chasing my three wonderful kiddos. 

I have always wanted to be a music teacher! From a young age in Dripping Springs, I took violin lessons, enjoyed learning recorder and guitar, performed in programs at the elementary level, and entered the world of band/marching band/theater at the secondary level. I was in my church's choir and performed in the marching band/choirs at Texas State University. I love performing in ensembles. I actually have huge stage fright but work hard to over come it!

My hope is to create life long learners of music. I do my best to create a classroom where children are free to express them selves musically, learn and practice music literacy, move and play, and compose on instruments. Your students are my favorite musicians and I am honored that they trust me with their precious voices.
