TEA now requires that all participants complete the Reading Academy requirements through a comprehensive pathway. Our district will continue to serve as an Authorized Provider to deliver the Reading Academy course.
Our district will be offering the ELAR pathway to all required participants.
This includes:
10 days of in-person professional development.
Substitutes will be provided by the district.
Participants will receive a $300 stipend when they successfully complete the course
4 cohort leader coaching visits and debriefs throughout the course
Our Literacy Team will serve as the cohort leaders and will complete these coaching visits
Training dates for the 2025-26 school year can be found below
Required participants: K-3 teachers (including 3rd grade math teachers), interventionists, ICs, dyslexia teachers, special education teachers, and administrators.
Additional Hays criteria for the 25-26
