In 2018, Thomas Harmond, Andy Cole, and Valyn Turner were tasked to create a film promoting Lanier High School to all constituents. Their efforts led to the self title PSA called "Lanier." Lanier involved 21 teachers, 48 classes, and 510 students. On the technical side the film took approximately 34 hours to develop and used over 324 gigabytes of footage all for one sixty second video. Instead of submitting the film into the NATAS Southeast Student Production Awards, the three of them decided to submit into the NATAS Southeast Emmy Awards and compete against professionals in the industry. Their efforts and decision were rewarded as they received a 2019 Emmy Nomination in the PSA category as High School students. Their film also was an 2018 Official Selection in the All American HS Film Festival held in NYC.
