A mini golf tabletop game with customizable obstacles using the peg system.
Goals:
To discover and familiarize myself with more tools:
Laser Machine
Clamps
Drills and Hinges
This is a Gantt Chart. During the project, me and my teammates used this in order to divide roles and objectives to ensure we will finish in time.
Sketches both on paper and using OnShape with dimensions for planning (My role was to make the board itself).
Another one of my role is to create a brochure - to introduce the game as well as explaining the rules. Using Canva, I create the following brochure as well as printing it out on glossy paper to enhance the game.
After lasering the wood, assemble it using wood glue, clamps, and hinges, I combine my work with my teammates (obstacles and golf clubs), This is our result.
This project was a very unique one, and I learnt a lot of new tools to enforce and support my project. Some of the new tools I learned were:
The Laser Machine
The Daft Table
The Orbital Sander
The Drills
The Band Saw
However, if I have more time, these are some improvements I would make:
Better measurements for the frame -> I took more time than I should have
Unbalanced height -> After the hinges, the table became slightly unbalanced
Add a closing mechanic -> So it can keep all the obstacles and golf clubs inside
