The Chess Piece Project is a project to showcase your skills on the OnShape program, creating all six chess pieces on the chess board: Pawn, Knight, Bishop, Rook, Queen, and King. You can either choose to do the classic, where you can find the common designs on the internet, or you can be creative and create a new set of chess pieces in your mind.
But there are rules to stick to. For any theme that you have chosen for the project, you must stick to the theme. They don't need to be fixed in an exact measurement yet, but they still need to look proportional to the other pieces.
(Example: The pawn cannot be bigger than the king.)
After a week of progress, I end up choosing my pet, a rat, as a muse for myself. Using the tools available on the program Onshape, I successfully created chess pieces based on basic shapes like circles and squares, and rectangles. With different parts created, I can also change the color to represents the uniqueness of each piece and display the character of the role that I'm making.
