How Might We Question:
How might we design a safe shelter and life-support habitat for the first astronauts living on Mars?
Problem:
NASA and space agencies around the world are planning to send human astronauts to Mars in the coming decades! But Mars is a tough place to live: it has super cold temperatures, thin atmosphere, radiation, and frequent dust storms. As a Space Habitat Engineer, your mission is to design a Martian base camp that keeps astronauts safe, produces clean oxygen and water, and lets them grow food millions of miles away from Earth.
