It is not uncommon for children to experience regression during times of stress. Regression is when a person experiences some form of stress and, as a result, steps back into earlier modes of behavior. In young children, this can look like tantrums, needing or wanting help with tasks that the child has not needed help with like getting dressed, wetting the bed or having accidents, crying frequently, or baby talk. The closure of our schools, social isolation, and fear for the health and safety of friends and family is certainly a big stressor for our children, and for us! Check out this information about regression and what you can do to help!
