CAMPUS TECHNOLOGY RESOURCES
The following are technology resources available to current students.
Campus Computer Labs
Students can access ESU-owned computers in campus labs during building hours. Some of these labs include specialized software.
Campus Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is available in all campus buildings and outdoor grounds 24/7 by logging on to Hornet Nation. The network Hornet Guest is also available.
Short-Term Laptop Checkout
Students in need can temporarily check out a laptop from the IT Help Desk.
Printing
SkyPrint is available to all students. Students receive $8 worth of printing each semester and can pay for additional printing as needed. SkyPrint stations are available in every campus building.
Microsoft Office
Students, as well as university employees, may download Microsoft Office for free for their own computers and devices for personal use.

Public Libraries
The Emporia Public Library, located at 110 East 6th Ave., has 10 public computers available for use during library hours. The library also offers free Wi-Fi access around the building as well as in the parking lot available 24/7.
If you are not based in Emporia, you can use Library Finder to locate a local public library near you in the United States. Many offer free computer and internet access, among other services.
Affordable Connectivity Program
Through the federal Affordable Connectivity Program, eligible U.S. households can receive discounted high-speed internet plans as well as a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers. If you are Pell Grant eligible, you likely qualify. For more information as well as other eligibility criteria, visit getinternet.gov.

A variety of organizations offer discounted or refurbished computers, particularly for educational purposes. Check out the offerings of the following organizations:
