Pathways - Helsinki

Durante la última semana de julio, tuve la oportunidad de participar en el curso "Pathways to become a digitally competent educator" en Helsinki. El objetivo principal de este curso fue explorar los modelos educativos de Finlandia y Estonia en el ámbito digital y adquirir herramientas prácticas para integrar eficazmente la tecnología en el aula. La experiencia no solo me proporcionó una visión profunda sobre cómo la tecnología puede transformar la pedagogía, sino que también me ofreció recursos concretos para mi desarrollo profesional.

Gracias al curso, descubrí una amplia gama de herramientas digitales, pero mi mayor aprendizaje fue la comprensión del enfoque único que adoptan Finlandia y Estonia en la educación. Aunque la integración tecnológica completa que observé en Helsinki representa un desafío de replicar de inmediato, ahora tengo una hoja de ruta clara sobre cómo empezar a implementarla en mi propia práctica docente. En particular, he mejorado significativamente mis habilidades en el uso de la Inteligencia Artificial (IA) para la planificación y la creación de materiales didácticos.

Las herramientas que me resultaron más interesantes y que ya he integrado en mi planificación futura son:

• Magic School AI: Esta herramienta representa un antes y un después en mi forma de planificar. He adquirido el conocimiento para usarla no solo para generar ideas, sino también para crear borradores de lecciones interactivas, lo que me permitirá ahorrar tiempo y centrarme más en personalizar mi enseñanza.

• Gamma: Aprendí a utilizar esta herramienta para crear presentaciones visualmente atractivas de forma rápida y eficiente, aprovechando la IA para generar diseños innovadores que mantienen el interés de los estudiantes.

• Mentimeter y Classroom Screen: Estas plataformas me dieron nuevas ideas para hacer el aula más dinámica. Ahora me siento más capaz de crear encuestas y actividades interactivas en tiempo real, así como de gestionar el aula de una manera más visual y organizada.

During the last week of July, I had the opportunity to participate in the "Pathways to become a digitally competent educator" course in Helsinki. The main goal of this course was to explore the educational models of Finland and Estonia in the digital sphere and to acquire practical tools for effectively integrating technology into the classroom. The experience not only provided me with a deep insight into how technology can transform pedagogy but also offered concrete resources for my professional development.

Thanks to the course, I discovered a wide range of digital tools, but my biggest takeaway was understanding the unique approach that Finland and Estonia adopt in education. Although the complete technological integration I observed in Helsinki represents a challenge to immediately replicate, I now have a clear roadmap on how to start implementing it in my own teaching practice. In particular, I have significantly improved my skills in using Artificial Intelligence (AI) for planning and creating teaching materials.

The tools I found most interesting and have already integrated into my future planning are:

• Magic School AI: This tool represents a before-and-after in my way of planning. I have acquired the knowledge to use it not only to generate ideas but also to create drafts of interactive lessons, which will allow me to save time and focus more on personalizing my teaching.

• Gamma: I learned to use this tool to create visually attractive presentations quickly and efficiently, taking advantage of AI to generate innovative designs that maintain student interest.

• Mentimeter and Classroom Screen: These platforms gave me new ideas for making the classroom more dynamic. I now feel more capable of creating real-time surveys and interactive activities, as well as managing the classroom in a more visual and organized way.
