El IES Maestro Padilla tuvo el honor de recibir a alumnado de Suecia y Polonia como parte del programa Erasmus+. La semana estuvo llena de actividades emocionantes y visitas a lugares emblemáticos de nuestra región, creando recuerdos imborrables y fortaleciendo lazos interculturales.

Lunes 24 de Marzo: La bienvenida en el instituto fue cálida y acogedora. Los estudiantes fueron recibidos con entusiasmo por el alumnado y el personal del IES Maestro Padilla. La comida de bienvenida fue un festín de sabores locales, donde todos pudieron conocerse mejor y compartir sus expectativas para la semana.

Martes: La aventura comenzó con un viaje al impresionante Parque Natural de Cabo de Gata-Níjar. Los estudiantes quedaron maravillados por la belleza natural del lugar. Después de disfrutar de un almuerzo en el camping de Los Escullos, donde se degustaron platos típicos de la región, pasamos la tarde en las hermosas playas de Monsul y Genoveses. Las aguas cristalinas y los paisajes únicos ofrecieron un entorno perfecto para relajarse y disfrutar del sol.

Miércoles: La jornada estuvo dedicada a explorar la rica historia de Almería. La visita a la Alcazaba, una fortaleza árabe con vistas espectaculares, fue una experiencia educativa y fascinante. El cable inglés, un antiguo cargadero de mineral, ofreció una visión del pasado industrial de la ciudad. La visita turística en el trenecito fue una manera divertida y amena de conocer los rincones más emblemáticos de Almería.

Jueves: La exploración continuó con una visita a los fascinantes Karst de Yeso en Sorbas. Los estudiantes quedaron impresionados por las formaciones geológicas únicas y las cuevas de yeso. De regreso, exploramos el desierto de Tabernas, conocido por ser escenario de numerosos rodajes de películas. El paisaje árido y las formaciones rocosas ofrecieron una experiencia visual impresionante.

Viernes: La semana culminó con una emotiva despedida. Se organizaron actividades de cierre donde los estudiantes compartieron sus experiencias y reflexiones sobre el intercambio. Hubo momentos de risas, abrazos y alguna lágrima, demostrando los fuertes lazos de amistad que se habían formado. La despedida fue un recordatorio de la importancia de estos programas en la promoción de la comprensión y la cooperación internacional.

IES Maestro Padilla had the honour of hosting students from Sweden and Poland as part of the Erasmus+ programme. The week was filled with exciting activities and visits to iconic places in our region, creating unforgettable memories and strengthening intercultural bonds.

Monday, 24th March: The welcome at the school was warm and inviting. The students were enthusiastically received by the pupils and staff of IES Maestro Padilla. The welcome meal was a feast of local flavours, where everyone got to know each other better and share their expectations for the week.

Tuesday: The adventure began with a trip to the stunning Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park. The students were amazed by the natural beauty of the area. After enjoying lunch at the Los Escullos campsite, where typical regional dishes were savoured, we spent the afternoon at the beautiful beaches of Monsul and Genoveses. The crystal-clear waters and unique landscapes provided the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the sun.

Wednesday: The day was dedicated to exploring the rich history of Almería. The visit to the Alcazaba, an Arab fortress with spectacular views, was an educational and fascinating experience. The English Cable, a former mineral loading dock, offered a glimpse into the city's industrial past. The tourist train ride was a fun and enjoyable way to discover the most iconic spots of Almería.

Thursday: The exploration continued with a visit to the fascinating Gypsum Karst in Sorbas. The students were impressed by the unique geological formations and gypsum caves. On the way back, we explored the Tabernas Desert, known for being the setting of numerous film shoots. The arid landscape and rock formations provided a visually stunning experience.

Friday: The week culminated in an emotional farewell. Closing activities were organised where the students shared their experiences and reflections on the exchange. There were moments of laughter, hugs, and a few tears, demonstrating the strong friendships that had been formed. The farewell was a reminder of the importance of these programmes in promoting international understanding and cooperation.
