During the week prior to receiving Swedish students, our students receive several training sessions: two workshops and an expert's talk.
Wednesday, February 1: preparation meeting. Students meet Spanish coordinator to prepare activities and further tasks. At 11:30, in the Music Room.
Thursday, February 2: workshop given by Asociación El Brote Educación Ambiental in collaboration with Ecologistas en Acción Córdoba, on ecology and sustainability in our city, between 12:00 and 15:00 hours.
Friday, February 3: talk on "water and city" by Ángela Lara García, Architect and PhD in Geography, currently Professor in the Department of Human Geography at the Universidad de Sevilla. Between 14:00 and 15:00 hours. It will be held in our auditorium.
Tuesday, February 7: "Discovering and critically analyzing Córdoba" workshop, by Asociación El Brote Educación Ambiental. This second activity will be already together with Swedish students in the official programme of the mobility reception.
At this meeting, the project coordinator, Antonio Romero, will review the programme of preparatory activities to be carried out by the students. This work is set out in the Spanish Student's Preparation Activities´ Form.
Those are the main targets for the students to focus in this project, "Europia 2055":
You come from the future (2055) and you should evaluate things that need to be improved in the present (2023).
You should also help Swedish pupils to understand Córdoba.
Finally, you should propose solutions and alternatives to the major environmental and social problems of the present (which in 2055 have already been solved).

The educators of El Brote will offer a dynamic workshop that will contribute to introduce our students to an eco-sustainable vision of their immediate environment.

Analyzing the case of the touristification in the historical centre of Córdoba.
Annalysis and identification of the main eco-environmental problems in the city of Cordoba from the students' experience: transportation and mobility, energy, commerce, infrastructures, social issues, genre issues.
Students' ideas and alternatives to the previous issues. Solutions.
Final task. Building together a "scenario for the future" trought arts.
The second day of the workshop will held on the ground in our city, Córdoba. Sudents will work on interactive mapping around the historical centre. They will detect and evaluate how the city of the present is and must change for a better future.
Ángela Lara García is Architect and PhD in Geography, currently Professor in the Department of Human Geography at the Universidad de Sevilla
Ángela Lara García Architect and PhD in Geography, currently Professor in the Department of Human Geography at the University of Seville. Master in Planning and Management of Territorial and Local Development (US) and in Renewable Energies, Architecture and Sustainable Urban Planning (UNIA).
Her activity has focused on analysing the relationships between the urbanised territory, the population that inhabits it and the socio-environmental context, especially centred on the urban water cycle. Her publications include the book "Agua y espacio habitado. Propuestas para la construcción de ciudades sensibles al agua" (EUS, 2018). She is a member of the Grupo de Investigación Estructuras y Sistemas Territoriales and of the Fundación Nueva Cultura del Agua.
Professor Lara will give a session based on a presentation that will serve as a frame of reference for our students when assessing how water management in the cities of the future should be from a sustainable point of view.
