The project “Europia 2053: Come together to imagine the European cities of the Future”  is part of our KA121 Project: “Focusing In-Out: Attention to Diversity and Environment”.

This project is the proposal of IES Ángel de Saavedra for its short term group mobilities for the academic year 2022-2023.

Learning will take place through a fictional situation in which the student's participants were in a hypothetical future, in the year 2053.

From the vision of a utopian future in which the major problems of European cities have been (or are in the process of being) solved, students will critically analyse their host city through a series of proposed activities. In our case, they will analyse Cordoba, in Spain. 

Through shared experiences, collaborative work, visits and activities, the students will observe and propose solutions to the major problems of our cities. For example: the use of energy, resource management, mobility, the provision of cultural or educational infrastructures, touristification and the necessary implementation of environmental sustainability measures.

All of the above will be done using English as a common language, working with digital resources and in a context of educational inclusion, respect and mutual collaboration in line with our concept of European citizenship.
