We are delighted to begin our third year as a bilingual centre, continuing this project with the same enthusiasm and commitment as in our first year. Over the past two years, our bilingual programme has grown thanks to the dedication of our teachers and the involvement of our students and their families.
Although we will unfortunately not have a language assistant this year, our team remains strongly committed to offering high-quality bilingual education, strengthening cooperation between subjects and enriching our students’ linguistic and cultural experience.
Here are the teachers taking part in the programme this year:
1ºESO: Susana Gómez (English), Daniel Uclés (Geography and History) and Verónica (Maths).
2ºESO: Pilar Castellano (English), Julia (Geography and History) and Rosa Ana Cárdenas (Technology).
3ºESO: Pilar Castellano (English), Daniel Uclés (Geography and History) and Rosa Ana Cárdenas (Technology).
We look forward to sharing new projects and achievements throughout the year. Let’s keep moving forward together!

📘 INITIAL TRAINING AND COORDINATION 📘
During the first week of September, the bilingual teaching staff took part in a training session focused on CLIL methodology, aimed at updating strategies and ensuring a consistent approach across subjects.
In addition, several coordination meetings were held to organise the cooperative work that will take place throughout the academic year within each bilingual group. These meetings allowed teachers to align content, plan joint activities, and strengthen the coherence of the bilingual programme.
Our school remains committed to maintaining high-quality bilingual education and fostering effective collaboration among teachers.
📚 26TH SEPTEMBER - DAY OF EUROPEAN LANGUAGES 📚
To celebrate the Day of European Languages, our English Department has prepared a selection of readings as part of our Reading Plan, which will be explored throughout the week.
These activities help our students appreciate linguistic diversity, strengthen their reading skills, and develop a deeper understanding of European cultures. 🌍💬
🕷️🕸️ HALLOWEEN AT OUR HIGH SCHOOL 🎃👻
This year we’ve had a spooktacular week full of creativity, teamwork, and learning! The English and Spanish Language and Literature Departments, together with all the tutors, organised a variety of activities to celebrate Halloween:
🕸️ Pumpkin contest (1st and 2nd ESO) — encouraging creativity and artistic expression.
📖 Scary story contest (1st and 2nd ESO) — where fear turned into literary inspiration.
🧁 Creepy recipe contest (3rd and 4th ESO) — working on reading comprehension and specific vocabulary in English.
🚪 Door decorating contest — fostering creativity, cooperation, and the use of English. Linked to the ALDEA project, students created eco-friendly slogans to raise awareness about climate change.
🏥 Haunted asylum (4th ESO) — a terrifying haunted house experience to end Friday with chills and fun!
🧙♀️ Halloween-themed activities in English lessons — discovering the cultural side of this celebration.
A big thank you to all families, tutors, and teachers who helped make this Halloween another amazing experience! 💜🧡
