文化遺産の保全管理制度設計と執行の在り方について、特にマルチレベルアクター、市民参加、持続可能性、防災というキーワードで研究やプロジェクトを行っている。フィールドはラテンアメリカ(主にメキシコ)、アジア、ヨーロッパにまたがり、持続的な文化遺産の在り方を模索している。
Aya Miyazaki is a Project Associate Professor in the Komaba Organization for Educational Excellence, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences. She specializes in cultural heritage conservation and management systems and is particularly interested in multi-leveled actor involvement, community participation, sustainability, and disaster risk management. She is currently conducting research on sustainable conservation and management systems of cultural heritage in a wider context, looking at issues of human- and nature-induced hazards, urban and touristic development, and ineffective governance structures and systems. Her field covers Latin America, Asia, and Europe. Ph.D. University of Tokyo.
