Robotics I – 7th -8th Grade TEKS

This course is designed to introduce and explore design through 3D computer aided design, automation, robotics, mechanics and physics. It is a course centered on engineering concepts and hands-on projects that are designed to give students an introduction to the engineering field. The students will develop problem solving, science, technological, engineering and math skills that will prepare student for a future career in any engineering and robotics field.


Principles of Applied Engineering – 8th Grade

Prerequisite – Robotics I TEKS

This course provides an overview of the various fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics and their interrelationships. Students will use a variety of computer hardware and software applications to complete assignments and projects. Upon completing this course, students will have an understanding of the various fields and will be able to make informed decisions regarding a coherent sequence of subsequent courses. Further, students will have worked on a design team to develop a product or system.
