Dear Parent/Guardian,
The technology classes at Harpool Middle School are designed to give students experience with hands-on activities that will enable them to explore various career options. To accomplish the goals of the curriculum, it will be necessary for your son or daughter to use various machines, tools, and materials. They will construct products and perform activities designed to teach and reinforce basic concepts in order to understand the technological world in which we live.
Safety will be stressed throughout the course, and the proper use of tools and machines will be demonstrated. Before a student will be allowed to operate any power equipment or work in the technology lab, he or she must achieve a perfect score on all safety tests, demonstrate the correct operation of all tools and machines, and show a proper attitude about safety.
